If, according to the FCDO, it is not possible to travel to your holiday destination 10 days before arrival, you are entitled to a full refund (of course, in this case you can also change your booking free of charge as described above). (2) If it is not possible to travel to your holiday destination, it is possible to change to another campsite or period free of charge from 10 days before arrival. If you buy the book, make sure to plan ahead and speak directly to the site owners, or at the very least, checkout their website to make sure things are still as described in the book.Īnother (minor) criticism of the book is that it's definition of 'cool' varies considerably site to site. From the generally overgrown appearance it had been that way for at least a couple of years. We headed for one of them one rainy afternoon, arriving at around 5pm, only to find that the campsite had closed down. We'd picked out several campsites of interest in this book before our holiday. We tour, and often make last minute decisions about where we're going to pitch-up. This book was an interesting read as part of our holiday planning, but let us down badly whilst actually on our camping trip.
